OUR STORY

The Pink Ribbon Open is officially known as The Breast Cancer Eradication Initiative. Our 501(c)(3) started in 1994 as an LPGA Pro Am fundraiser and has continued as such for the past 30 years. 

Since 2014, the PRO has also received financial support from The Pink Ribbon Links golf event sponsored by the Ladies Golf Associations from TPC, Ridgeway Country Club, and Chickasaw Country Club. In 2023, Windyke Ladies Golf Association will also join in support of the PRO. Proceeds from these events are included in annual grants made by the PRO.

Since inception, the PRO has granted over 4.5 million dollars to local organizations for treatments, screenings, and education. In 2024, grants totaling $165,000 were disbursed to local organizations, including:
